DESCRIPTION :
Charcoal has appeared as black powdery particles with a particle size of 0 to 500 μm. The relative density is 1,8 to 2,1. It is odorless, tasteless, insoluble in water and organic solvents. Charcoal-based preparations have been used for a variety of medical applications, principally as an antidote for acute poisoning and drug overdose and less often for management of skin infections, reduction of wound malodor, pruritus associated with dialysis, as a drug nanocarrier, as a food ingredient in various preparations or as a food coloring agent to improve one’s health status.
